Joseph Hwang, MD

Dr. Hwang joined this practice in August, 2004.  He spent much of his early years in Chicago, where he also attended college and medical school at Loyola.  He then ventured out east where he did his Ob-Gyn residency at Georgetown University, followed by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at Yale University.  He is board certified in Obstetrics-Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  Dr. Hwang lives in West Des Moines with his wife and two daughters.  Apart from work, Dr. Hwang enjoys time with his family and photography.

Alan Buchbinder, MD

Dr. Buchbinder joined Perinatal Center of Iowa in 2006. He attended the University of Illinois and then FUHS/The Chicago Medical School. Dr. Buchbinder did his residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn.  He later completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently board certified in Obstetrics-Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Buchbinder enjoys gardening with his father-in-law, bicycling, swimming and running marathons.
