Participants in clinical trials can play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available and help others by contributing to medical research.

National Children's Study

Perinatal Center of Iowa and Mercy are proud to partners in the National Children's Study. The Study will look at how the environment affects the health and development of more than 100,000 children across the United States.

It will study the children from before they are born until they are 21. Study researchers hope to learn how children’s genes and their environments work together to affect children’s health and development.
